Default blower motor just stopped working

I let my parents take my car for a weekend while i was away. When i came home the blower motor wasnt working..rrrrrr. WTF did they do?
I'm getting 13-14 volts to the blower motor. (5 pin connector, 2 larger gauge wires). Its a constant voltage with the climate control on or off. Im assuming the other 3 wires are control voltage from a potentiometer of some sort.
I ohmed out the motor and connector from the climate control and referred back to my brothers s4 for reference. All values are pretty much the same.
I tried using the climate control diagnostic that i found on here somewhere, but it doesnt seem to make any sense to me. does anyone have a suggestion?
Its awful hot and i'd love to kick the A/C on. HELP

Its probably the motor, take the motor out of your brother's car and hook it up to your electrical connector and see if it works.

You check for codes? You can scan the climate control unit with the VAG.

I have vag-com but it says it cant communicate with the controller. Is my vag-com up to date? theres actually a few things that dont seem to work with my vagcom...i bought the cheapy vag cable and loaded the drivers.

If the motor was bad shouldnt i have popped a fuse? Unless the motor shorted "open" which is pretty uncommon. I'll try my brothers motor.

No you wouldn't have popped a fuse, blower motors going out isn't all that uncommon on audi's. Ive replaced a few hundred of them in my day. Not being able to communicate with the a/c control head worries me, but that could be that your using a cheap cable as well.

ya thats kind of what i figured. My vagcom is suspect.
My concern is the ohm readings from a confirmed "working" blower. My blower ohms out exactly the same.
ill see.
