How can you check if you have a boost leak and what hose is leaking without tearing the car apart on a B5 S4?

...i've used before a smoke detector from work... it also pressurizes the intake but with smoke so you can see where it leaks out... but the machine was abit bulky... i wonder if you could inject smoke in this set up some how....

If you have a boost leak what will it sound like? Could it possibly sound like a blown turbo?

 

it sounds like a whistle sometimes when you get a boost leak. completely different sound than when a turbo is whistling when its about to go. you really should remove your skid plate and see if you are spilling oil.
