Default broken control arm? clicking sound when driving

hi all,

I noticed a fairly loud clicking/thumping noise coming from my left rear wheel while driving to work. I looked underneath when i got home and saw this part (control arm?) that was broken. The bottom is connected to the sway bar, and it appears that the broken part is rubbing on the axle which could be causing the noise. I don't have much experience but i was thinking I could fix it myself and save some money. Is this a difficult part to replace? It looks like I can just un-bolt the broken part and replace it. Also, what is the part called and where is the best place to order it? Is it ok to drive while I wait for the part to come in?

Ive got a 2001 s4 (b5) totally stock

...it could be a wheel bearing?....under 30 mph it pretty much sounds like i have a flat tire or something...similar to what it sounded like when i had a broken wheel bearing...but then as i start getting faster, that sound goes away and there is just a clicking noise that you can only hear with the window rolled down
