Default Broken Power Window

I roll up the window to my MY00 B5 S4 this morning and I hear a glass shattering sound... I roll it back down.... and now it wont roll up at all.

DANGIT.

I guess my question is first... how hard are these cars to steal... I live in an apartment and the windows will be fully down for a few days before I can fix it. Also, has this happened to anyone here before... any ideas about repair costs.

sigh. No one told me not to use the pw in these cars.

I know in 2004 the s4 was in the top 5 for stolen vehicles and I believe about the same for 2005. Might want to get it fixed.

Most likely the window clips have failed on your car. The same thing happenned to me about a year ago (window clips).I know VW's have that very same issue, especially New Beetles. If your car is under warranty, take it to the stealership and have them fix it. It could also be the window regulator... but my guess is the window clips.
