Hello everybody, I am very new to Audi and the audi forums. I am very much intrested in purchasing a audi s8. I am looking at the older cars, 2001 so on, what should i look out for? what kinds of cars should i stay away from? i would just like to know the usual, i would be selling my 92 500e to purchase a s8, any advice would be great!

 

Look for what you want the S8 is very nice vehicle. Look for the one with the lowest miles in your price range, check it out. Do the usual check over of things. Ask the dealer to give you a car fax, they should if they don't... yeah you might wanna stay away from that one. Check if it pulls to one way just driving and in braking. Doesn't always mean something serious, could be an easy fix.

 

Pretty stiff cars from what I've heard, never knew of any problems with them. Personally, I love them. Just make sure your lisence plate has some reference to Ronin.

 

Enjoy the car, no major problems that I know of. May want to ask baskin 4.2 about any engine issues, he has an s8 motor in his A6.

 

The S8 seems to be pretty bullet proof. 500E a unique and cool ride too. Good taste

 

The S8 is a great car. Little to no flaws

As DevilS4 said (thanks for the shout out) The motor is very strong great power band with great potential. Not quite up to the power of the S4 2.7T but much more than the S4 4.2
