I bought this car with the remote not programmed. The central lock pump was bad. I replaced used one. Doors lock and alarm sets with driver door key. I have valey key and oroginal switch blade. Bought a new remote from dealer, Can't seem to program remote. Vag Com shows a fault in the central locking sys. 01366 Opened due to crash signal. I reset it and it always pops back as a fault. I don't know where to go other than the 130 dollar dealer diagnosis.
I was told that it could be the motion sensing computer in the left side of the trunk under the cd changer???

I'm just out of ideas and VagCom doesn't really pin point the cause or maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Tis really frustrating please help me out. Thanks for reading.

 

Fix the code, if you clear it & it pops right back, you have something wrong.

Look up the code & find out what triggers it, then fix the cause, then program the remotes.

 

Can someone tell me what that little computer is under the cd changer ? Its a little computer that's held by three bolts and has little wires going to it. Yeah way to describe it but I couldnt find it in the ALLDATA that i have access to. A parts guy at audi dism told me its called a movement detector control. I couldnt find that in any parts catalog. I dont have access to ETKA. someone? please I'm desperate no remote sucks. I'm thinking dealer is just going to take my money and say "Thanks come again."

 

Don't know what you are talking about, but that is also the place they put the factory NAV controller.

The lock pump, is on the other side of the car.

 

Could it be that I changed the central locking pump from an 1998 Audi A4. the Part numbers were the same though. Is there some special procedure I need to do coz I think there is something wrong like when I start driving the interior lights turn on as if I opened the door and stay on I have to manually turn it off. Could that be connected with the code 01366 - Opened Due to Crash Signal?
