Car Overheating, steam everywhere!

I had an accident in January of 2007. When they repaired the car they didn't put the little rubber seals that go on the AC condenser back on so all of the freon leaked out sometime between January and May when I first tried the AC. Long story short my AC Compressor was toasted from the freon and oil leak, I talked to my insurance company about it 5 months later and they reimbursed me for the AC work and went after the body shop, so it may be worth a shot to talk to your insurance co.
Good luck!

Yeah you better make that guy fix it right since he didnt the first time, even though you dont want him touching it again I believe he still owes you to fix it right. To do it yourself is just pulling the bumper off, unhooking the washer fluid, swinging the AC condenser out of the way, and then you'll see everything else you need to do, no biggie.

Ended up paying $930 to fix a radiator and a broken U joint under the intake manifold so he had to take the whole thing off... called the insurance company and they said they couldn't do anything and it was in my hands since it wasn't one of there shops they work with.

they tried to get me once since i didnt have any paper records of having oil changes every 3000 miles. thankfully i just bought the car a couple months prior so that kind of worked out against them since i had no prior responsibilty of the car
