Default Clutch Question

01 s4

I need some input on my clutch.
I was told by the Audi dealership that my clutch was getting ready to go out. The pedal is kinda hard to push and sometimes it kinda klunks into gear. I also sometimes have a burning smell(not sure if this is clutch related but might be). any input?
Thanks

Well I know in comparison to most cars the clutches on these are much stiffer. Do you have any slippage when you get on it?

I'd do a flush and possibly get your master and slave cylinders checked before you go and spend a ton of money on a new clutch.

^^ totally agree you have air in the system, get air in the breaks and the same thing happens only difference is the clutch doesn't slip and that means air in the system

with air in the line, doesn't that keep the pedal from going all the way to the floor? Mine goes all the way to the floor.

with air is would not come all the way back i think. Deff replace the slave and master at the same time. when one goes the other is soon to fallow.

if the clutch is going out, that shouldn't prevent any kind of pressure to pedal, just bleed the system and check the clydinders before checking the clutch
