1st to 2nd gear slider/syncro problem most likely. Check the shifter adjustment also. Are you having any reverse issues?

to fix a synco problem you will have to replace or rebuild the tranny. If I were you and you keep experiancing the problem first i'd try some GOOD new tranny oil. No cheap stuff. BGsyncoshift, redline, sometimes some new oil can work wonders

Common problem mate. I know you may be short on cash considering you replaced your clutch recently and whatnot, but look into a rebuild by Stasis Engineering. Pretty costly but WELL worth it. Just take it easy on the tranny, from what I've seen it only gets worse.... depending on how you treat the car.

My reverse detent on the shifter pretty much fell off and was keeping my shifter from going completely into gear. I'd pull the cover from around the shifter and see how things look. Check for any debris. I was prepared to pull the tranny and have it rebuilt a couple months back and all I needed was a clip for my shifter.
