Hello all, I'm new to the form and I've finally purchased what I've been waiting for.

I bought a 2000 S4 and everything seems to be running great. Long story short, this car did not come with a remote to unarm but it came with a transponder key. I got home and parked the car, locked the car with the key and it armed. The locking part went well but I couldn't unlock. It would free spin when unlock. Everytime I unlock the door, the jab would almost pop up but then goes back down. I can turn the key around circles forever to unlock it and it would not unlock. The only way I was able to disarmed and unlock the doors was to open from the trunk. I guess the trunk has somesort of connection with the rest of the doors.

I did a bunch searching but I don't think any of the forms can relate to my situation. I think my key tumbler is broken or does audi have a unique designed for the key tumbler as part of anti-theft? maybe it's something else that is causing me to unable to unlock with the key.

Any insights would be much appreciated.

It would be either you door lock tumbler or inside the door that would hold it in place is broke loose some how, and yes the trunk is part of the locking system. Check out this website for more insight on your unlocking situation http://www.humanspeakers.com/audi/power-locks-89.htm.
