My car has just started unlocking and locking by itself several times in a row. It will not allow me to unlock the car from the inside. When I press my remote to lock the vehicle it just automatically locks back. Anyone had this same problem or may be able to offer suggestions?

Check for faults in the central locking control module. If you get a bunch of faults from the same door youll most likely need to replace the door latch for that door.
