Default Drive Train Stabilizer Question

Ok guys when I first got my B5 S4 I noticed the very common play in the drivetrain - drives me nuts! The new snub helped a little, but I think I may have a broken trans mount. So, I'm looking into some type of Drive Train Stabilizer, but I'm wondering if I need to verfiy that all my mounts are good before installing it.

In other words if I have a bad trans mount is it a bad idea to install a DTS, or will the DTS just assume the workload of the broken mount???

Thanks!

It really doesn't matter, it will help a lot, but you should make sure the mounts are good.

Sorry, I mean, if you have bad trans mounts, it will not really help. But it does stiffen things up when everything else is working properly.

You will def. reduce upshift and downshift reliability I have one. Its really helps on movement of motor but you always should have good mounts because that will lead to other failure of things. if you rev the motor up it shouldn't shift that much or shake, if your getting more movement and shake than what seems normal check the mounts

If I rev in neutral its pretty solid....so maybe the mounts are alright.
