i need help finding a tach signal my e-01 ebc is mapable to the rpm band for fine tunning the boost curve ie less spike smoother response but ive searched and searched several sites and havent found anything every post i found is full of flamming for somone wanting to add and aftermarket tach to their car with no useful info

 

so you just need to know wich wire to the ecu is the tach signal so you can tap into it?

buy the way i have an early model 2000 s4 6spd

 

I can onl say, rip the dash apart and find the wire going to the tach.

 

i wish it was that easy the cluster has a pcb on the back and shares a common harness with some other parts of the guage cluster

 

mbc is way way simpler on our cars to install. set it and forget it

 

agreed i have a mbc also but i have had my ebc in two previous cars and im a tweeker so i love tunning things and would like to set this feature up its not a need its a want my ebc works fine now i have four settings to choose from off for economy low boost mode high boost mode and scramble/overtake for those idiots that dont know anybetter and try to pass me
