Default EGT #2 Sensor Removal Help

I drive an '01.5 S4 and am in the middle of removing my #2 EGT sensor (Driver's side) and I am having a hard time getting the actual sensor out. Everything else is out except the sensor.
For those of you who have done this before, how were you able to get the driver's side sensor to come out? The location makes it difficult to work and I've tried different types of 17mm wrenches and pliers and can't get a good grip on it. I just need to loosen the bolt enough so that I can get it out by hand.
Namely I would like to know what kind of tool you used to loosen that bolt. My wrench heads are a slightly too big to fit in the tight space. I am currently using the steps written on these two DIY articles

Not real sure if there is an easy way out. I was lucky enough to not have it in there to tightly and it came out with some time. I used a couple different brand wrenchs. They were a little slimmer or offset differently. Basically it just took some patience and 20 minutes of unfriendly language. [&:]My sensor wasn't bad it was just in way but if you are replacing it i would cut it and snake in there with some concoction of extensions and a socket. These cars are truly a PITA to work on. Good luck!

What I ended up doing was having the guy at the NAPA store use the grinder to grind my wrench down (it was a cheap wrench) so that I could fit it in there. It worked so I"m good now.

Hi !
I know there are a PITA to get out of there. ECStuning is selling an 02 sensor tool, just check on there website. It's like 35$ and it worth every penny of it. Plus that you will need to remove coolant tank to make little room. You will need a 10" 3/8 extension, a 3/8 flex joint that you will connect directly to the ECS tool. With a some patience and the help of god you should be able to do it in less then 10 Minutes.
Good luck.

Dont forget to apply some anti seize compound on the treads prior re install. Will be easier next time.
