Extended Warrantee on 2001 S4
I'm about to purchase a 2001 S4 Avant, 31k miles, from a reputable dealer who has found an end of lease trade-in. Car appears in great shape, runs well.
An aftermarket bumper to bumper warrantee to 100k miles is available for $2800. Limited coverage options are available for less money.
I know I'll have the remainder of the factory warrantee available. I maintain my cars well, but I also intend to do some track events and high performance driving. What worries me is the potential for expensive repairs, either mechanical or electronic, over the course of ownership.
Is the optional extended warrantee a worthwhile option for the S4?

personally id buy the warranty, i mean u got a long way to go to 100k miles ratehr be safe. The warranty price isnt to to bad either, better then u having to pay something for it in the long run by the dealership. i say go for it
