What's up guys,

I need your help on this before I take it to the dealer. I have an 2004 S4 and everytime I turn the car on I hear a loud WHINING noise for about ten minutes until the car warms up then it goes away. If I move the wheel does it again. After it warms up everything is ok, it drives fine. I thought it was a power steering issue but I'm not sure. IS THIS NORMAL? Does this happen to any of you guys? I called the dealer and they were not able to determine anything without a visit and I really dont want to take my car to the dealer unless I really have to.

Have you checked your power steering fluid level?

cars under warrentee why wouldn't you want to take it to the dealer ?

I've done some work to it and i dont want them to take it on a spirited drive cause then they will notice the chip modification i've done. .

 

haha ok you can't turn off the program I know on the A4's you can turn it off with the cruise contol switch

The problem was that my power steering was low, apparently the dealer gave it to me like that because I dont have any leaks on the car so I went to the dealer b0ught some $25 AUDI power Steering fluid[:@] and the problem was gone. Being that it was a new car I wouldnt have suspected it to be low.

ya i just bougth my car and the dealer didnt change the power steering fluid, so i have to have it flushed out before the winter. kinda sux
