Default Factory Speakers

My passenger side tweeter is starting to vibrate with certain pitches due to my buddy trying to spite another friend for hating a song and blasting the stero... I've always been a sound quality kind of guy and whenever I hear the "vibrating" tweeter now I cant stop listening for it. Anyone know of somewhere I could buy the factory bose system? I dont want to go aftermarketer because I love the bose and IMO its perfectly balanced; going aftermark always seems to favor one side of the spectrum. I know I could get it from parts at the dealership but want to avoid the 100% markup charge...

Thanks!

www.shokan.com maybe?

Im not a fan of the stock bose stuff on my b5, im sure its probably better on your B6. Iv gone through 2 full sets of bose speakers so far, luckily i got the second set for free from a friends S4 when he went aftermarket. The dust caps come off the dear deck lid speakers and it sounds like someones in my trunk playing the maracas.... They dont sound bad new, i just need something more durable. Paper speakers for the loss

Thanks, I sent a part request earlier this morning. There must be a big difference between the B6 and B5 bose systems because I love mine. If anything, I might swap out the factory sub with a fosgate to just have a little more of a punch, but want to keep the roof mount in the trunk and doubt a A/M one would fit.

I don't recommend trying to add anything to the Bose set up. They use a proprietary technology that nothing else seems to work with. You can get a "CleanSweep" that supposedly serves as an adapter, but I had very little success with it. I ended up swapping out the entire system and couldn't be happier. The Bose system sounds great down low but as soon as you turn it up the lack of power is noticable. I put in a Pioneer AVIC-Z2 with Focal speakers all around. 2 JBL amps and a JBL 10" sub. Went to a shop and got a super clean install. Not cheap, but well worth it.

By the way, I still have the whole stock Bose set up with Navi if anyone is interested.

How much are you looking for the navi?

+1 for Shokan, although their parts aren't really cheap, they're still better than the dealer.

Also, try genuineaudiparts.com -- If you can't find the part from their website, email them and I'll bet you'll see a much better price than the dealer.

To all interested: $700 for the head unit (with Navi), a 6-CD changer and all stock speakers with amps. You don't get the antenna as I need that for my current GPS. Only 5K miles on the system. Just the head unit goes for $1300 retail.

I really want to upgrade the sound system this summer. New headunit, all new interior speakers, amps, and then two 10" subs in the trunk like this. None of the neon and plexiglass stuff either. Keep it clean, i just like the placement of the subs.
