Default Final Boost Problem

Thanks for all the support so far guys. I started out only producing 5psi all the time. After replacing the TBB and F-pipe I'm producing between 7 and 10psi. I can't figure out why it fluctuates. Sometimes I get 10 through all gears, and later on it will be down to 7.

I bought a leak tester and tested for leaks today. There aren't any. All I heard was a gurgle deep in the engine when the filler cap was on, the air seeping out of the filler hole when I remove the cap. I think this is normal. I tightened every connector I could get my hands on. I'm not getting any codes.

What do you guys think.N75 right? Where is this little bugger? I can't find it.

Most stock cars do run 7-10 psi depending on engine load and rpm. The computer will regulate it down some by itself.

OK, I just bought a Stage II MTM ECU on ebay. That oughta do it. Although I don't have exhaust, but I'll take it easy until I do. It's supposed to produce 345hp with catback.

LOL, you are not going to get almost 100hp with a chip.

You need to do some vag-com logs on block 115 to see what your car is requesting vs actual.

I have to agree with 2ks4 about the VAG part. Somethings wrong that's for sure you should get
like 16-18psi of boost with your set up. About the fluctuation in boost, i had the same issue couple
of weeks ago. The car was running 14psi was like stuck there for awhile and suddenly jumps up to 18psi while WOT. I did some research on the car and find out tht my DV's where not working properly.
I have some Forge 007 DV's (piston type). I disassemble them clean them up, put some new dielectric
grease on and put them back in. My sticking boost problem was solved. I dont know if you have the same setup, but if you do, check them out.

Good luck !

I think he is talking about 7-10 psi on stock ecu. There should be nowhere near 18 psi on a stock car. After a mtm chip yes.

I'll check the DVs. They hold boost during the test, but they could be sticking. What about the boost control solenoid N75. Where is this? Why doesn't anybody just bypass with a boost controller? Every other turbo car I have had is done this way.

I know, that's why I said "with catback". It's about 58hp with just the chip at stage I. I don't know what else is involved with stage II other than the exhaust.

The MTM chipallowed meto boost to 16-19psi, butI don't know why Iam getting the variation of 3 psi. When I go to WOT in 3rd or higher with the chip. Sometimes it's 16, and sometimes it goes to 19. Never limp mode. I suppose it could still be a small intermittent boost leak.
