I would have to sick up for the turbomew a little on this one. I was at the Audi meet he was speaking of and the ASP car was not represented very well. simon (turbomew) and a few other fellows tried to help him out the hole night and seemed to be part of the next day. If you were there you would feel more of the anger I guess.
It was a young fellow that picked his car up from ASP and it never ran right and he (the kid asked for ASP to help get the car running right and they said he needed to make another appointment)
I would say that even if the ASP GT car was running poorly I agree do strongly agree with 2k S4 there are few tuners who have not turned there back on the B5 s4 guys and it is the small guys like the ASP's and the VAST's that keep pushing the limits. I tip my hat a untuned GT car is better than no GT car at all.
Lets remember everyone should be able to share there experiences with out criticism. Although it was harsh IT was someones opinion. Sharing info has helped us all get a head.
The only correction is that from what I know the ASP fueling kit as based off from the VAST fueling. VAST helped R&D the fueling for AWE and work out the bugs. From there VAST and ASP worked together with cars and customers to get the tuning where it is today. When company's like that work together we all win................or at least you guys do I own a 4.2

I have strong opinions based on cars I have seen and the people I have talked to. It seems that you forgot your meds so let me help with your statements
1. read again. I saw the GT car at the track the customer was taking the car home there was no R&D. It was final product
2. I am not, nor did I ever say that there were no people that were not happy with ASP
3. ASP tends to steal more of its products than create them on their own. Not only that but they don't do the tuning on there own they work with someone else and always have, it's not like they all of a sudden, overnight cracked bosch motronic, give me a break!

Search the archives and look at all of the people complaining about how ASP stole from tuners includingAWE. This is not the only link on this. This is just the other day
ASP copyed or stole the DTS and Exhaust mani from AWE ......
Stole there MAF from Buehn, and it doesn't even place the maf sensor in a good location with respect to the body and other wiring, it's horrible.

Your first post was very hard to read, and it made it sound like you had no idea what you were talking about.
1. You saw one car that was not running properly, and based your distaste for ASP based on that.
2. Ok.
3. Yes, I will agree ASP did totally steal the DTS from ASE, however, ASP makes a DTS for our TIPS!
They also do a lot of their own work, and make products that other companies do not. ASP MAF is a stepped unit, and needs the proper software to run it correctly.4. Lets forget about that car, it obviously needed some work, and had a serious problem with it. I would say that was not the norm on ASP products.
5. Ok, yes it looks like a great kit for a A4. To bad they don't do anything for the S4.
6. Yes, the WMS car is fast! But they don't sell the kit, the car needs to be @ WMS for the work.
7. I contacted Frank @ ASP & Kurt @ Vast. Yes, Vast helped both ASp & AWR with their kits. But did not make the kits for them. "To say that we helped develop anyones fueling kit would take away from what they have accomplished. We help R&D for several tuners out there. The best way I can say this is that many company's from ASP as well as AWE all have benefited from our work with both fueling and hardware."
AWE still has issues, more so then any other kit. IMHO, the only "complete kit" that seams plug & play is the APR one. Vast seams to be least known kit out there, and they themselves don't really push it. They are using GIAC software, ASP is homebrew ASP software. While the kits will work on a TIP, ASP is the only company that has a TIP kit.
We are both entitled to our own opinions. I have nothing against VAST, ASP, or APR. I however am a little annoyed at AWE, and will post about it later.
I happen to like ASP & think they make great stuff. I would say do not base your opinion on that one car.

That is the most stand up thing I have seen in a long time. 2k S4 that is twice in one day that you haveimpressed me. I truly thought this was going to turn into apride fest with yelling and screaming. Idefinitely think that you represent this forum very well and that is saying a lot from some one that is probably old enough to be your father
