OOH i bet you cant wait. What did you choose for intercoolers ER?

I like the genx inlets because theyre much bigger than OEM (which SUCK), bigger than the APR bipipe which has a somewhat sketchey reputation, and i think even bigger than RS4 bipipes. They just look the best to me...

BTW iv been waiting 6 weeks on my downpipes at 034, i finally got the box with all my mounts and the inlets like 3 days ago. I dont think theyve even sent the downpipes and cats out yet haha, im really in no rush but it is some slow service. JHM gets parts to me in 2-3 days usually and IIRC hes in cali too... given 034 has to fab the downpipes but i did spend + $2000 there at one time.

hrm, its gotta be that the fab is taking that long.. i ordered engine/tranny mounts on monday and they came in yesterday.. but yeah.. 2000 is quite a bit, youd think it would be priority one...lol.. the intercoolers are er knock offs, not quite as big but they are completely aluminum and hopefully i wont have any problems with them.. but we will see... yeah, i measured the cold side impeller port and read 42.8 mm. lol..just to make sure they were rs6's.. but now how do you index the flanges on the downpipes properly? lay them side by side with your oem dp's and use a marker?? and when i go stage 3, what stuff is gonna start breaking?? i know that i probably wont be able to drop the clutch at 3500 like i do at the dragstrip with my k03's.. but will it break axles first or something else??

I havent been following this that closely but if your not building the bottom end you'll deffinitly start breaking rods. But axles could definitly be the next thing that could break. It all depends on how hard your going to launch this puppy at.

not sure what im going to launch it at.. thats why im asking YOU guys.. and why do you think that im going to break rods?? ive had numerous people tell me that these engines are good for 500 whp and that you could push 25 to 26 psi with these rs6's .. jason at jhmotorsports said occasional 28 psi bursts should even be okay...

sorry about the false info. I should speak from experience and not word of mouth. But Ive always heard that if you want the full potential of the rs6's then build the bottom end bc they flow a lot more air then the ko4's. I know that the bottom ends can support rs6's but not to their peak level.

no problem, dont apologize.. better be safe than sorry, ya know?? thats why i was asking, so i could hear all... and i do wish that i could take the time and build the bottom end, and go ahead and build the heads...so i could take advantage of the turbos range and push 32 psi.. .. so if anyone knows or has seen of anything that i need to be weary of, speak now and save me headache and heartache later..... my big thing is i enjoy driving this car so much that i dont know if i can take the time to remove heads and build them, install pistons and connecting rods. .. i want too. im just too impatient.. and then practical wise.. for what i want 450- 500 whp is more than enough.. its just a toy that i love and will love forever... and i dont wanna wait to make it twice as fast as anything in town.. just faster than anything in town will do..

it depends on how well your exhaust flows. My car with the exaust dump open comes in at about 3800-3900. Though its not a true dump from the downpipes it flows much better than any striaght pipe or the like. With my exhaust hooked up some where in the 3700 range is the lowest I've seen full boost come in. I have logs posted of my car look at those and it might give you an idea of what it will look like

arent you running 32 psi though? im guessing 24 or 25 psi might come in quite a bit sooner than that.. and where are some of your posted logs located??
