Guruman, didnt finish untill late last year, now hes making it even better for this year. This is gonna be one fast ******* car.

the WMS laser car is also fast as hell, 2 seconds FATS time, a stage 3 is lucky to get 3.0 seconds. This is the car that pulls almost .8g's in 3rd gear

good clips... thats why when you see gt kits for 7500 or tial kits for those prices its a little deceiving ..it doesnt go into the labor costs on building an engine or the parts for stronger rods forged pistons or heads.... but once i go k04's im buying a used 2.7t engine to completely tear down and build over the next year or so....so then i can strengthen it all and get my 650 whp with a gt kit... im already dreaming about it and i dont even have my k04's yet..lol.. ridiculas.. the kids these days....

exactly what i wanna do! Buy a spare motor to get ready, someone who scrapped their GT build was just selling a dirt cheap built short-block on AZ. I so wanted to grab that one...

thanks for the link to JHMotorsports. they had the compressor wheel sizes on their site and it's a helluva lot more info than i had yesterday - despite literally weeks of searching. so i can't thank you enough.

i suppose the missing info can be supplied by them, if i make a phone call or e-mail them. although, i will definitely take the short route from anyone here that knows the compressor housing size and the turbine specs (wheel and housing).

i owe you a beer, man.

Simpply posted another video of the WMS laser GT car. this time against a 500hp supercharged B7 S4, laser car on low boot. Seriously this car pulls as hard in 3rd as a k04 car in 1st gear.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RizPtc_Bbk

Now heres the same s/c S4 vs a k04 car, it struggles to put a car legnth on the B7, while the red car RAN from the B7

that is so ridiculas.. so jealous of the gt turbos...i guess they are being compared to a k04 kit.. so i guess im going k04's.. unless someone says quickly that for another grand or so i can have a rs6 kit and be happier with it even though im paying about a grand more for the turbos?? again.. quick ets. are wanted.. but the trap speed would make me even more happy... and im seriously looking into perhaps trying to get another 45 whp or so through water/meth injection... just wondering how quickly a whole washer fluid tank full of water/meth gets depleted??

I just think all the hassle and work of gt turbo's just arent worth it when you can get a very good amount out of K04's.
I'm not on here too often, so I didn't see this, but I have a VERY hard time believing that an OTS AWE stage 3 kit, even with cams, did 415 to the wheels on Cobb's dyno. Some factors being that it is indeed a Mustang dyno, and one of the lowest reading around. It's got the reputation of a being a heartbreaker dyno, and we're at 4300ft above sea lever with 91 oct. When I dynoed my stage 2+ car there I peaked 225 whp and 271 wtq, and another stage 2 that dynoed since did 217whp (for reference other stage 2+ dyno's are usually around 280whp.)

OTS AWE stage 3 kits are usually in the vicinity of 360-380whp on other dynos. I can't say it didn't happen, I just have a very hard time seeing it as feasible.

bigern, couple things to consider:

1. how much money do you want to spend? (crucial)
I've ridden in a K04 car. Make no mistake, I was pretty impressed. It was fast.

2. No one has ever said, "I dont like all this power, I'm going to switch to a smaller turbo."
While bigger isnt necessarily better, what do you want to do with the car?

IMO, I actually phoned up a couple shops. I talked personally with Mike from VAST. Must've been on the phone with him for about an hour, shootin' the ****. I told him what I wanted out of the car.

... For me, I'm not interested in drag racing, but I'd like to attend track days. I wanted something that I could drive daily, reliable, and something that's not incredibly unwieldy. I also wanted something retarded fast... Thus, I went back to the drawing board, crunched the power numbers, and decided that I wanted compared to price and power.

Also, I do trust the opinions and facts from the guys who've posted here. They also influenced my decision. They know their stuff.
