Well thanks for the help, I will try and get a volt meter handy ASAP. Do you know exact locations of sensors in the engine bay that controls the fuel pump? I highly doubt its a clogged fuel line, cause i thought the same thing and changed out the filter twice and she still has the problem. But I will get back to you as soon as possible. I actually just tried it again and it still did not start.

hey guys! i know its been awhile, but you know school! Any who, my friend came over with a volt meter the other day and tested the fuel pump connector and it was reading only about .8 volts! This cant be right! So my question to you all is: what is my next step? We are going to hook up an external power source to the fuel pump to see if it turns on so that we can rule out the fuel pump. (which by the way has 2k miles on it) Do you guys have any other suggestions as to what to check for or what could possibly be wrong? Thanks guys and sorry it took so long to get back!

so we just hooked it up to a power source and luckily the fuel pump still works atleast we think it does. it made the noise but i tried to crank it but it would not fire and yes i have fuel in it.lol why the engine did not crank? we just checked the relay and it seemed fine, we heard it click on when we turned the ignition. my friend also checked the power at the fuse and it also got .8 volts just like the fuel pump. so why is it getting such low power?

The fuel pump relay is switching on but is only allowing 0.85 volts at the fuse for the pump. We bypassed it and put power to the fuse box and it works fine. The relay is getting 12v so it has some issue in there somewhere. It still wouldn't fire so we checked for spark and it is not getting fire. what is wrong now? ECU?
