JUst got my cars brake checked and the mechanic said i need new front rotors, pads, and sensors and said it would cost 1k for parts and labor. Does this seem like too much? anyone have any recommedations for rotors, pads or sensors.

Dude 1k for parts your getting ripped offf. Whats he gonna charge you for labor 2k LOL. Do it yourself its easier get everything off one of the websites. Most of us get parts from ecs there cheap too but some go other places you can find deals here and there. for rotors and brakes and sensors it shouldn't cost you more the 400$ if your buying good ****. DIY! Its easier and less hassle

I replaced my front and rear rotors with DBA slotted (from AWE) and changed out the pads (obviously). The sensor is just part of the pad, it just plugs into a harness so your car can tell you when your pads are shot. If you have confidence in yourself buy the parts and do it yourself. I am pretty much usless when it comes to working on a car, iv neverally really done much other than this, and i didnt really have any problems. You could easily save about $500.
Winter mode, shamefully dirty. But as a daily driver in a small New England town full of mud its hard to avoid.
