Just recently, my car has started grinding when shifting into second. I used to be able to push the clutch down a couple inches, but now if i don't push it to the floor, it grinds. This only happens in second, everywhere else is fine. I didn't think it was the clutch, cuz its only in second gear, but i don't feel like taking it in until i can get some more feedback. could be syncromesh in that gear which is a tranny rebuild, I had that for years and just didnt use that gear ( 1st - 3rd - 5th ) should save you money ( no one uses 4th anyway)
