helpp 2006 s4 avant..need advice on exhaust work!!!???
Hello all! I am brand new to an audi. jsut picked up an 06 s4 avant
Im comming from an 06 infiniti g35 6mt with the revup motor.
because of my job, i can't have a loud car, but at the same time i love the sound of our cars with exhausts, or any loud exhaust for that matter(when its done right). with the e-cutout you can transfer your car from silent to super loud with the switch of a button. I had a cutout on my G35, and noticed no difference in peformance on the n/a motor. and let me tell you it sounded incredible. that was some motor. may she RIP, thats why i have QUATTRO now. lol
i want to install high flow cats and an electric cutout on my avant.
2 qustions:
1) what are your opinons on the sound our car makes with an open exhaust after the cat and the impact on the cars peformance???
2) if u support a cutout, where should it go, before or after the resonators???
thanks for your advice guys. and be frank with me please.

err...
1) opinions aren't facts, they're individual thoughts. Youtube a few videos and if you like the sound, then do it; it's up to you. Performance for any exhaust is moderate, you'll gain in one portion of the rpm's and lose in another. Search for a few dyno graphs and decide if the cost is worth it.
2) depends on how loud you want it...
what kind of job do you have that doesn't allow a loud car?

dude.. cutouts are for one reason, and one reason only.. more power.. put them in your dp's, or right before your cats.. that way they do what they were designed to do....REMOVE AS MUCH BACKPRESSURE AS POSSIBLE!!!!.. gains have been noted from 20 whp to 50... so pretty impressive numbers..
