Default Ignition problem

I just bought a new-to-me 2004 S4 about 2 weeks ago. It's been a great car so far but there is one little glitch that's bothering me.

Every once in a while, maybe 1 out of 20 times, I will turn the key on and everything works but when I turn it to "start" nothing will happen, and I mean nothing. Then most of the time, if I move the steering wheel a little bit while turning the key it will fire up. But sometimes it won't.

Anyone know what this could be?

I would assume so, I know the clutch needs to be in to start it. It won't turn over with the clutch out.
