I'm finally chipped
I also noticed that the tranny shifts much smoother now. Did the front rotors and brakes and the diverter valves.
This week the driver side control arms are being replaced.
I guess I will save for the downpipe next

None of those yet. Can you tell me the purpose of adding a boost gauge. Perhaps you also could tell me about psi, what should the chipped S4 be running at ?
I know very little about turbo's (besides the cool sound)
Thanks in advance.

Have you done the TBB? What about the cat back? Have you already added an exhaust. I'd also consider a good boost gauge next.

Your psi should be in the mid teens for a GIAC chip, spiking to no more than 19. The boost gauge will keep you informed of this data (real time) and, as soon as anything begins to appear as a problem (within the turbos), your gauge will be the first to let you know. A good gauge should read vacuum for off-throttle response, too. Make sure it reads more than 20psi when shopping around - you'll need the extra room on the gauge to be sure it is displaying accurate data - good gauges read 30 psi.
Typical chipped cars are 14-16 psi, while the stock S4 is 11-12psi.
Hope this helps.
