Intercooler ?

Why do most people upgrade their stock side mounts instead of going for a front mount intercooler on B5 S4s? It just seems to me that the benefits of a nice twin core fmic would far outweigh those of hidden smics.

short version cuz my phone won't let me post long posts! ;(
fmic's - pro's; price, lower iat delta
cons- cosmetic ( unless you fix piping usse and spray black) , overheating issues in triffic.

You should get a large electric fan to mount behind the radiator. look at jhmotorsports.com he's got a sweet setup for the b5's.

With a nice sized radiator and some dual electric fans you will have no problems with overheating.

goodluck trying to fit a fan behind the core. it would fit without an A/C

here is my setup..where you can clearly see no room between the core and rad/condensor.
