So I take my car out last night and when I get into 3rd gear and into boost the car ends up just reving like it would if I was pushing the clutch in and hitting the gas while driving.
this only happens when I push the gas pedal down half way or more otherwise it drives fine. Very strange as it really doesnt do it in 1st or 2nd gear but does in 3rd, 4th, 5th etc. A little info on the car is that It has a complete trans rebuild with only 5k on it and all new clutch assembly. Last week I put in new dv's, vaccum hoses, throttle body boot, gasket air temp sensor, f-pipe. Everything was great until last night.... any ideas? It doesnt feel like the clutch is slipping but I do have a slight oil leak either at the main seal or upper oil pan. Just hoping that oil isnt getting onto the clutch plate but again not sure if the clutch is slipping but I dont smell any clutch burning. Could it be a boost issue?

Sounds like when my stock clutch was on its way out. As soon as you hit power the revs would just go out of controll

That is a clutch slip if I ever heard one. Boost would not do that. If your in denial about the clutch check the rest of your driveline, but thats where your problem is. Also you would not smell burnt clutch if it was slipping, besides it could be a loose pressure plate anywho.
