Took the car back today. Said they'll be bringing it to the shop tonight and they'll let me know either tonight or tomorrow what the deal is.

 

So they turned out being dicks and were only willing to give me $750 so i'll be filing complaints and probably be taking it to small claims court.

But in the mean time I got my self a couple credit cards. So I'm gonna drop the engine with the tranny and do K04s, tranny, clutch, and maybe 2.8 heads and cams while i'm at it. Not to mention all the supporting stuff (injectors, pump, etc etc). So there is positive in every bad situation.

 

wow, well thats a jump good luck, have fun. while your doing all that make sure the timing belt has been done all you need now is to snap a belt and have to start all over again.

 

Timing was done at 60k and the car now has 107k. Would it be worth doing timing while i have it all apart or should i just leave it alone until like ~140k?
