No, it was a lot of oil, that's why the TBB was slipping off so much and at certain places you could whipe your finger across the pipping and get a nice glob of it on your fingers. Oil level was pretty low, too.

So, looks like someone is getting a turbo-timer for their b-day [8D]

eeshh... that doesnt sound good.. I would be hard pressed to say that the turbo is blown.. Pretty rare to blow the k04 esp w/o fueling. Not to say that it couldnt, just would be surprising. Def. could be a oil line loose somewhere.. Do you have a boost gauge if not see if you can do a pressure test. Try to see what kind of spool your getting on the turbos.. also if theyre blown youd most likely know it and hear a bad whine.

Well the owner isn't online now, but I do remember hearing a strange sound from the engine bay, like scrapping. But when in the car and driving along, the turbo sounds fine. But it lags a lot, at full throttle there is no boost until the second turbo kicks in.

my guess would be there is a leak somewhere.. Do a pressure test as well as find out what kind of boost you are getting..

Alright if I can remember correctly, he got an AWE boost gauge the other day that we put in. And I don't remember it going above 0 until the second turbo kicked in. And what would cause all that oil? I mean, he seems to take pretty good care of the turbos, even if he was a little abusive, this is an extremely short time until the turbos went.

My guess is it's blown, too. But wtf. And I have no idea how that oil could get into the intake if it wasn't blown.... anyway, thanks for the help.

i do get some boost after pushing the gas. it shows on the boost gauge, but you don't really feel it until it gets into a higher rev. is the lag possibly due to the lack of the fueling kit? that was my initial guess.

how much boost are you getting?? Im still thinking theres a leak. fueling kit shouldnt really matter with boost.. you still should get high..people with just a chip can get high psi.

the car idles at 20 hg or watever... the negative area. and if u rev it will "get boost" but is still below the 0 marker, maybe 2 or 3 psi showing at the most. struggles getting to 10 or 12 psi until the second turbo kicks in... then its no problem
