Well one dislocated ring finger later and some hard shelled out time I finally replaced my motor mounts.....lesson learned damn german ingeniuty.....anyways for all you do it yourselfs I would say yes you need to remove the alternator and yes you need to remove the a/c.......just a few more bolts and u can take the engine out and replace it while your there......anyways thanks to all who gave me some help and thanks to you deutschlanders for an amazing week of headaches...i still love my s4 tho
