Default looking to get an s4! need advice!

Hey i'm looking to acquire my second audi, and i was looking at the b5 s4. but i then came across the b4? i guess? a 1993 s4 with 95k miles. the car is pretty good condition except has some trouble in first and second gear....is this a normal thing for old audis? my dad used to have a 1990 200 quattro that had the same problem? also how much of a repair am i looking for a new/used transmission? the listing is 4500 for it. tell me what to do! thanks

I would look into getting a b5 s4 instead of a 93 b4... just my opinion. I believe the newer car will last longer. The 93 is atleast 7 years older. Also the b4 has 1st and 2nd gear tranny problems. I would stay away. Also, i got unlimited carfax soo when you look for the s4 i can check to see all the records on it, just need the VIN...
