M3 owner maybe switching 2 S4
Hey guys im new to audiforums, I had a 2003 SMG M3 and it got a problem with it and the tranny died on me... BMW is fixing it as we speak but im thinking about selling it afterwards and switching to an S4 (lease for 2 years) till my E90 M3 comes out...
What do you guys think of the switch, and is there an S4 forum just for S4's? (i.e--> m3forum.com (for M3's))
thanks
nice meeting you all

good to hear man.. both are lovely cars with there strengths/weaknesses to each other. do a seach on here as there has been quite a few people that have done the same thing even fairly recently. As for just a s4 forum there really inst an individual s4 forum. but there is a section for the s4 on each forum or each model has its own thread. like on www.audizine.com and www.audiworld.com
There is actually a forum which was JUST started called www.s4forum.com. Participation is still anemic at this point, but hopefully it will take off soon (it's only been a few days or so).
I think a good summary of the available forums is as follows: (1) Audiworld (AW) has the most tech saavy members, but also the quickest to trash on a noob. It's probably the least friendly of the forums (not saying it's necessarily unfriendly--just less friendly compared to the others). If you have a tech question, search the archives over there first thing. (2) Audizine (AZ) is more of a mix of performance and cosmetic oriented. For instance, most members at AW hate "riced" cosmetic upgrades, and focus on performance upgrades instead. On the other hand, the AZ members like both. The posts at AZ are tech saavy as well, although the AW members like to think not.
(3) Audi Forums (AF) is probably the friendliest environment you will find. There are less (contributing) members than AZ and AW, but those that do contribute answer as much as possible and always in a friendly manner. Because there are less members, some questions are better directed at the bigger forums.
This is purely based on my observations
. You obviously can't completely characterize any one forum. Plus, there are members who are on multiple forums (sooks, scarzie and myself for instance). Between the 3 of the forums, and possibly www.s4forum.com, you should find a good home(s).
Good luck!
