Yea, i did a continuity check and there was no resistance on the heater circuit9confirmed VAG code)

however my boost issues began a week or so before i got any O2 sensor codes. Is it possible the sensor was faulting before it threw a code? It was intermitten before, and now it isnt.

So you're saying that yes its possible for an open circuit o2 sensor to screw with the MAF readings and therefore affect timing?

Would this in turn make boost very sluggish and make the boost gaueg needle bounce as you try to build boost?

just for others concerned over this issue, yes the o2 sensor can cause this because it effects the fuel distribution (fuel air mix) its like cutting the fuel and the turbo dies sort of like limp mode to save mechanical items like the turbo, all systems are interlinked in one way or another
