Hey Folks,

I'm getting pretty serious about buying an S4 here soon... For the longest time I was completely hell-bent on buying an M3 and was recently turned on to the Audi lineup and their Quatro system. I live in Northern Virginia and we get some crappy weather from time to time over the winter and my two other vehicles are all but worthless when subjected to the 'elements'

I've been perusing the site here for a couple of weeks now and have read quite a few threads... learning lots of info. But I still feel a little out of the loop on these vehicles. Is there a 'super thread' on this board or maybe another site that I can use to read up on all the chassis codes, tech specs, etc??? I'd really just like to get some 'nitty gritty' info on these cars before I go spend any amount of time with a dumb salesman.

And if someone in here could shed some light on any major differences between the three newest models in the B7 lineup??? Did I say that right? My local dealership has sold all of their 2006 stock and are now pushing the 07's... But I'm also not opposed to buying a used model (05 or 06) to save myself $5-10-15K.

Any info, suggestions, comments, etc... would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

well there shouldnt be any difference between the 2006 and 2007. Just one year newer, and maybe minor technicalities worked out. But they are the same car. The 2005 will have a few minor cosetic things i believe. But internally they are the same.

www.audiworld.com has a pretty good description and technicle stuff on the car. Go to the resource thread at the top of the page and then down to model guide or something like that. I have learned a good amout from that stuff. Its not the best but it helps.
