Master or Slave Cylinder?
On my home the other week I was stopped at a red light with the clutch pressed in, and felt a slight pop in the pedal. But there was no loss of power at that time. So when the light turned green I took off, but everytime I pressed the clutch pedal the pressure seemed to get harder and harder until a mile or so down the road the pedal just dropped to the floor. Luckily I was in 4th gear and on a highway to I drove all the way to my exit and parked until I got a pull home.
After playing with the pedal it will return to the depressed position but isn't a continuous motion. More like you have to pull with some might and then it pops forward. And when pushing it in it just hits a certain point and pops back to the floor.
My question is it the master or slave cylinder, or something worse like the clutch itself. Seeing as how I've never had problems with the clutch other than the stupid syncros, it feels more like a hydraulic problem. And as with other forums I've read, no matter how much i pump it, it still builds no pressure.
