Mechanic broke my e-code!
I got my car back about two weeks ago from the shop for a turbo swap. All went well, except last night when I was driving home, my headlight indicator light came on. I checked and my passenger side xenon bulb was out. I checked it out this morning and found the cover for the light wasnt snapped into place correctly, so a seal didnt form. Condensation was in the case, and when I took it out, some water dripped out. I let it dry out and put it back in but to no avail. I'm not sure whether or not its the bulb or ballast yet, I'm going to check it out in the next day or two. What do you think it could possibly be. Also, my family has been doing business with this shop for years. How would I go about bringing it up with them? Would I even be able to prove that it is their fault? How much would a new bulb/ballast run? Ugh, I'm so pissed off!
you can find bulbs, ballasts cheap on ebay, under 100 for the both of them. I don't even see why the shop would have to open the cover on the headlight to do the turbo swap, so are you sure that it was them and not you?
