Exclamation Oh my god!!! Help please-something just broke off!!

I was trying to pull the bottom panel off of my lower dash under steering wheel and a piece just broke off and fell. I dont not know how to upload pics, but I took some pics and can email them to someone if they give me their email.

The PEICE= Curled steel/metal 2 loops then it goes to a right angle 90 degrees. It fell from center underneath the dash.

Does anyone have any idea what it is / or how F*cked I am?

PLEASE HELP!!!!

It just looks like a spring, i don't know what it goes to though - obviously your car will still function fine - don't worry too much.

I think there are two of these under the steering column (I've had that panel off a bunch of times); I used them to route wires so they could not become entangled in the steering shaft. AFAIK, the don't have to move or do anything. Hope that helps - look under there at where the other one attaches and see if you think it is a piece you will really need (but I doubt it).

Just had mine off today! They are just vaccum line holders for the crusie control they just support the vaccum line no big deal you still have one more or should! just make sure that the vaccum line isn't hanging near anything sharp!
