i trouble shot the icms by switching bank1 with bank2 to see if the misfires would transfer from one side to the other, ive read alot about the egt's on the forums but no real way to trouble shoot them, im not getting codes from them, i know that could just mean they are on the way out, but the dealership priced them at 525 a pair, they dont sell them individually, and i figured the best price i could prob get would be around 400, so i dont want to replace them if thats not it. i did run it with the maf sensor disconnected... same prob. in open loop same prob. i do have a boost guage... i dont know what your mean by merc but at idle i think its like -15 or -20 psi. i dont know about you guys but im really starting to believe its the injectors themselves

So you think all 3 injectors went bad at the same time?

You can check them but I don't think that's what it is. Put, it this way I'd be very surprised if it was.
I still think it's EGTs.
I'm stumped other than that.

The manifold vacuum is measured in inches of mercury (in/Hg) . That's all I was saying about that.

Yeah it sounds crazy when you put like that... That's what I'm down to. Maybe the fuel presure regulator, or would that mess up all the injectors? Either way I ordered one it should get here tomarrow, so I'll wait till it gets here and keep you guys posted

I purchased my egt sensors from these guys used. 70k on them....$150 for both.
Sure you dont have that piece of mind you would get from new ones but even if i had to replace another one @ $75 used it would still be worth it.

i agree with red.. very odd for three injectors or ignition coils to all go bad at the same time.. it could be a bad fuel problem.. it could be a number of things.. i hate to say this but just guessing and throwing a fpr on there is wasting time and money.. i mean what is your fuel pressure?? get some readings and if its in spec dont mess with fuel delivery.. thats not your problem... you really need to find an ase certified technician to look at it..please dont guess and waste time and money..

Default Whatever happened?

I'm curious now! Did the issue ever get resolved? What was the problem?

I feel like I read a book up to the climax...and then....crap....the pages are ripped out! Ok a little dramatic but still...I wanna know...

I had a bad misfire lately and the problem with just too large of a gap in my spark plugs. I'm not sure if you checked that already but easy thing to do... should be within .016 - .024 inches. I did .022 to be safe and it fixed my problems. Keep in mind spark plugs gap slowly grows wider as time goes on so it worth checking.
