just got off the phone with my mechanic and said its ridiculous that it could be the head gaskets, first of all they are metal and 2nd it could be anything like a ground wire that is dirty, either way im going to the shop on thursday and ill keep you posted.

My problem ended up being the Ignition Control Module. Head gaskets isn't too farfetched but just definitely a last last resort. Only ended up costing me $117 shipped.

Default Coil Fuses? What?

Got word from the shop. They said that the reason for my failure was that during cleaning at the auto auction evidently they pressure washed the engine compartment. The result was moisture in the coil fuses. (Coil fuses? c'mon, really?) Which caused a misfire situation, and water in the spark plug hole of #5 causing a specific misfire condition on that cylinder.

Now given my limited history with Audi's I'm doing my best to grasp this information and process it into something I can relate to on the HP stuff I work with. I can't, it doesn't make any sense.

Bueller, Bueller? Anyone?
