I recently purchased a 2001.5 audi s4, and have been wanting to mod it. I bought a GIAC chip and 710n's, and my dad asked me what i wanted for christmas, so i said, a full exhaust system, giving him the links to ASP and AWE, which he ignored and went with the APR STR race 3" because Audi is in the name... mistake... I'm now on the 6th set of custom bended downpipes, because the first 5 did not fit correctly. APR said to heat the downpipe and drive the car around and it will bend itself, only problem is i'd be risking owning my turbo... The shop i had installing the downpipes, has taken pictures and sent them to APR, they offered me a free chip, or bi-pipe, and tried to talk me out of the GIAC chip, for theirs. But i ended up taking the bipipe. So my cars been in the shop for 2 weeks now, and they've fit 5 sets that havent worked, expecting the bipipe and DP's thursday or friday, will be posting fitment results...


by downpipe fitment, i mean the flange to connect the testpipe was bent so it would hit the transmission.

yeah hopefully the next set of DP's fits, i mean its 3" exhaust, it cant be bad... its not like its as nice as APS exhaust, but its fine with me for now, i just want more power Its just a pain in the *** waiting 2 weeks, 5 sets of downpipes later they MIGHT fit because there custom bent...

 

Got the car back tonight, sounds good, not as loud as i had hoped, but sounds great. APR is still sending me that free bi-pipe though

Yeah, i wish i didnt spend money on the giac chip though, and just went with the free APR chip , but yeah, it'll be nice to get my bipipe and really see if it makes a differance.
