Need help on picking new car. Narrowed down to two. 03-05 M3 convertible and new 05 S4 Quattro convertible. Major factors are rear seat space for 2 car seats, quality/durability, aftermarket support. Leaning towards S4 strictly for all wheel drive. I do live in an area that recieves snow during the winter. I did do a search but nothing really answerred my questions. Thank you

 

Hi, I was also trying to decide between the 05 M3 convert & the 05 S4 cab. Test drove the S4 and loved it! Went to the BMW dealership, was told by their sales guy that the M3 is "so exclusive that we can only let you test drive it if you're prepared to buy today". Made my decision a lot easier Unfortunately the BMW / Audi dealerships are owned by the same guy, and I'm so annoyed with them that I won't give them a cent of a commission, so will need to find a different audi dealership to buy my S4 from. Hope your experience is better than mine!

 

the M3 is tuned to the max, so the A4 will have alot more aftermarket support. The m3's aftermarket support is lame. Thre exaust that cost 1k+ will prob give you lil to no gain. to me the m3(e46) is more exclusive, but i'd take the s4

 

Have you driven an S4 yet rescuesyou? Wuattro is a great feature to have in the wintertime. The Audi will definitely be able to pull double duty better than the M3 will.

 

Thank you for the replys. I think I am going to go with the S4, I saw a color combo on an S4 vert that I fell in love with and that actually helped me decide on the S4. Will let you know when the car is ordered. Thank you again.
