Default From a neutral point of view

Even I come back from basic training and my AIT I’m going to have a good down payment on a car. Now I’m tired of having crap cars. Like my last 2 cars which were a 92 civic hatchback and a 90 eclipse GS so now I’ve done a bit of research and still doing research. I’m not going to race, well not going to try. So I want 2 cars 1 being a 1995-99 BMW M3 or a 2000-01 Audi S4 both cars are really nice cars. I was just wondering from someone that has driven both car what they think, I’m really not up for the people who are BMW all the way that’s fine but I need to know how someone feels after driving both cars cause they are really different M3 being RWD and N/A, and the S4 being AWD twin-turbo. Also I’m going to drive the car in the winter I will still wash it and what not so its not the salt I’m worried about it’s the driving conditions, is RWD really that bad that I cant drive normally?

If you can just barely afford these cars and insist on getting one of them i would go with the M simply because the repair costs will be slightly lower. But the Audi is by far the superior car in my opinon

I dont really know for sure, but i wouldnt guess that the repair cost of the bimmer would be any cheaper. May be less frequent, but i would think the M is just as bad if not worse price wise.

I think you can count on most repairs on the Audi to run 500+ at a reputable dealership. For some reason, it seems like $800 is an average of all the repairs I have asked about. There's no way the Bimmer will be any less costly on a per-repair basis. I was considering the same cars, and I drove both (same years, everything). The Bimmer did not feel as fast, and honestly it did not feel nearly as luxurious. The S4 is a 365 day a year car. I'd consider living in mine, if necessary, and I've had it for about a week---lol.

Sorry everyone i wasnt clear enough, what i meant was that problems would occur more often in the S4 and so over time you will spend moremaintaining the S4, especially once the turbos go, if they go, but eventually they will.

I too was also looking at the 99M and My friend bought a S4 and that is when I fell in love with the awd over the M and plus the S4 is twin turbo!

Do u think it's a coincidence that the dollar sign on the keyboard is also the #4 key on the keyboard? S$ or S4

haha! no im pretty sure the keyboard was invented after a cyborg from the future told the developers that in the prophecy thir would be a car. and this car would be called the S4 and it would be perfection! Hence the keyboard assignments
