So how do you get the mirrors to fold in? Just got a new 2008 S4 and I saw that you set the mirror switch to pointing back towards you and they should fold in. They won't on my car for some reason though...

Any thoughts?

I think the car has to be off and in park. If I remember right, you have to turn the **** all the way back and it toggles. I'll check it out on mine at lunch and get back to you.

 

I'm not positive what the speed cutoff is, but I think it is around 8 mph. On my B6 they stay out unless I am crawling or stopped and the switch is moved to the "folded" position.

 

I was wrong. You just switch it to the rear position and they should fold back. Wouldn't be surprised if yours were broken. Audi seems to have trouble where glass and electricity mix (search for "my windows are f'd up")...
