Hey everyone!

Just picked up a '00 S4 6-spd and it is loads of fun. This will be the winter ride.

It's my first foray into Audi but not into German vehicles. My summer ride is a '95 740i. I can post pics if anyone is interested.

The S4 has just over 160K km, silver exterior and black interior. I'm pretty stoked to see how it'll handle Winnipeg winters.

It's got a few minor things that need attention. It needs trim pieces for the engine bay (battery cover, engine cover, etc.), the exterior has a few dents and scratches and the cluster has missing pixels. If anyone can offer advice I'm all ears.

I also can't figure out how to aim the headlights. Is there a way to manually adjust them? I can't see 30 ft. ahead in the dark so I've been a little hesitant to take it out at night. I've searched online to no avail.

Thanks for looking and pleased to meet you all!

there are ways to repair the cluster yourself or send it out. just had to re-format my computer so i lost all my links/bookmarks. just google search or go on audizine.com for the DIY's and places to send it too.

Best bet for the cluster fix is to just send it out. Yes there is a DIY to fix it but you need to have the right tools and more importantly you need to be really good at soldering small connections. when I reseached doing mine on my own it was like $100ish for the parts / tools etc.... if you ship it out and have it done most places charge like $150 - $200 so you might as well go that route, then you know it's done right and most have a warranty with them.

you can adjust the headlights with the white plastic screws - however if they are busted then you might be SOL unless you can use VAG COM to auto level them. I can't get that link posted above to open but I assume it says the same thing.

Should definitely be fun in the snow for you tho

Indeed. I'm really stoked for the snow. As for the cluster pixel repair, I've had no luck finding anyone in Canada to repair it. If I send it down to the US, shipping won't be cheap and I'm not sure if Customs will charge me for the repairs, either. I'm almost inclined to just buy a new/used gauge cluster that does work.
