Ok I installed a new EVOMS intake this weekend.I have a couple sounds comin from it.the firstis the wsssh sound of the air going through it which is fine,But the second soundI hear is a sound that sounds like someone blowing air across a bottle but it is higher pitched. Thats the best way I can discribe it. I have no idea what that is. I checked to make sure everything is tight. It only happens once in a while & only last two to three seconds. I will try to see if it is at a certain rpm or speed. Anyone ever heard of this.

 

In my 2001 Dodge stratus I installed an intake for it and it had a high pitch whistle at certain rpms and speeds. Everyone on forums just told me that it was the way the air was flowing in the piping. And I checked over and over for leaks but couldn't find anything. So I think it just might be normal. But if anyone else on the forums thinks I'm wrong then let him know please.

 

I agree with drobrt about the flow of air.
Off the subject... did you experience any noticeable gains from the intake?

 

RED 01 ,As far as gains I would say yes, but I went from a stock air filter to the intake. Now from a K&N to this may not see any gains. I don`t know. NGP thinks its my DV`s thats making the noise. Talked to them today and they told me APR just sent out a e mail saying the R1 DV has been having problems with a horn & squeal sounding noise. I`m returning them this weekend.

 

if you have a voice or video recorder ..record it then post it up...

 

Sell it & do the Darintake....

 

I put my stock dv`s in tonight and that sound is GONE. I`m exchanging the R1 for the forge DV`s tomorrow. thanks to all who repled.
