Default newbie here ...

hey guys,

Well I'm new here to the audi world and wanted to get a headstart before looking for a S4 for myself. Currently I own a 94 mazda RX-7 and a nissan maxima which is on the way out. I want a nice AWD car for a daily driver and of course luxury mixed in (which is why i'm trying to avoid a WRX).

My question to you guys is, is there anything wrong with the 2000 model year? What kind of price should I be looking at paying for a decent S4, and is like 80-100k miles way too much for one of these things? Obviously i'll be only buying from someone with proper maintaince records and such as well so..

any help would be appreciated !

thanks in advance..

Joe

Im prob going to go with a A4 for pratical reasons anyhow, but insurance is only 300 dollars more a year for a S4 so it's not competley ruled out. I am pretty much retarted for considering a S4 when I have a Rx7 already but hey, you only live once.

ya man, rx7 is on of the sexiest cars ever. one of my favorite japanese cars. next to eg hatches, rsx, s2000 and r34 skyline that i saw today, damn that r34 came out of nowhere it was soo nice, i saw it on melrose.

RX-7s are ok, but the Audi is better for daily driving.

Get the S4, the 1.8T won't hold you over for long, you know you want BiTurbo PoWaH!!1!

I personally think 80-100k is too many miles on the S4. Check the Turbo's after I believe 60k miles they tend to fail but thats what I have read from the forums. But def go with the S4 over the 1.8 but if you get the S4 get the 5spd even though the tip is a work of art if you want to make it into a beast the only way to go is with the 5spd.
