Noob Thinking of getting a 01 S4
I use to have a 97 M3, and I loved the way that it felt. Now I'm looking into S4's, but they just don't feel connected at all like the M3. The steering and shifter feel very sloppy (not trying to bash your cars). Other than that I love everything about them. Is there a way to make the steering feel better, more responsive?
The main problem I had with the M3 was that it was ALWAYS in the shop (12 times in the first 5 months and it only had 70k miles on it). Are 01 or 02 S4's with around 50 or 60k miles reliable? Most people I have talked to said that the transmissions go out a lot, but if that's all I have to worry about then I'll deal with it when the time comes.

you can get a short shifter to tighten the shifter.. and a suspension and sway bars make aworld of difference. as far as maintainence.. its hit or miss..some have a lot of problems some rarely see the shop except for general maintainence
