Is this normal??
I live in Michigan, so its wet out a lot. I never really thought to see if it was rainy or wet out whenever I noticed this...sometimes it smells like something is burning. But then I recently replaced my valve cover gasket so I think its just the gasket/gasket sealant still burning. Then again, my car is also leaking washer fluid somewhere so it might be that too. Also its slowly leaking power steering fluid to it could be that too. Ugh, gooood thing I love my car and would never get rid of it.
maybe there is a wire or something that isnt 100% grounded, and is heating up more than the other foglight.. never know.. and it could be heating up faster than the other light.. which in turn is evaporating water faster.. at least thats what happened on my old S10.. and i live in PA, where rain and snow is around 24/7/365.. its not an issue, i took it to my electrician expert, and he said that the worst thing that can happen is that the light would go out, and i would have to take off the ground and sand off the rust and corrosion that builds up over time.. hope this helps or if anyone can chime in with other ideas?
i wouldn't jump to that conclusion yet. you'd smell burning oil. i ho by smell for a lot of things, and if you aren't getting a burning smell then it's definitely water vapor.
